What To Wear

We plan a wide range of activities both indoors and outdoors, therefore we ask that parents ensure that their child’s clothes are appropriate for the weather conditions. Children should always have a coat in Pre-school even on hotter days as the weather can be unpredictible.

Whilst we use overalls to protect clothes, play will get a little messy from time to time. With this in mind where possible can child be sent in with named waterproofs and wellies and in older clothes.

Safety is of paramount importance to us; please ensure that children wear comfortable clothes and sensible footwear, we would prefer children did not wear open toe shoes or flip flops due to outdoor apparatus and activities such as climbing, running, stretching, crawling and bike riding.

Weather can be so changeable so please ensure a waterproof coat daily. During summer we ask all the children to wear a sun hat and suncream. Suncream needs to be applied prior to arrival at Pre-School.Pre-School sweaters and T-shirts are available to purchase, both new and pre-owned; they are navy or red and can be ordered directly from Pre-School. Whilst uniform is not compulsory, it helps give the children a sense of belonging.

All childrens belongings should be clearly named.
